Nestucca River Steelhead Report- Low and Clear with Pat Gefre
The Nestucca River is one of the great winter steelhead rivers in the West. As we move into the third week of January, the Nestucca River is primed to consistently kick out some big time days, but like many areas in the NW right now, a good rain would make the theory reality. The Nestucca fishes best 6 and 4.5 feet, but low water steelhead can certainly be had if a guy knows what he’s doing.
In this episode of Good Fishing Radio, I caught up with Pat Gefre of Nestucca Valley Sporting Goods to talk about the current conditions and tactics that work as the playing field gets smaller.
