Okuma T-40X Salmon and Steelhead Rods

The Okuma T-40X is the latest evidence that Okuma is committed to a presence in the Salmon and Steelhead market.

The T-40X comes in 16 different rods from casting to spinning in lengths from 7′-9″ to 10′-9″.  Each rod in the lineup is technique specific with rod options for side-drifting, drift and float fishing, as well as two offerings for herring fishermen.

The Okuma T-40X series is backed by a 40-ton carbon fiber blank that is 62% stiffer than your typical aerospace carbon fibers.  The result is a faster rod that’s both incredibly strong and light.

The T-40X also features a split grip handle for all casting models.  The woven split grip handle follows a trend in the rod market that creates even more sensitivity and durability as fishermen continue to require more from their equipment.
